Paul Pogba Out with Thigh Injury
Manchester United have suffered a setback after star midfielder, Paul Pogba, was injured during an English Premier League (EPL) match against Everton last Saturday, 6 February.
Pogba – who has been in exceptional form all season – sustained an injury to his thigh muscle towards the end of the first half, and was replaced by Fred.
The Red Devils went on to draw 3-3 with the Toffees.
During an interview on Monday, 8 February, club manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said that the 27-year-old French midfielder will not be playing for a “few weeks” until he has healed.
Solskjaer explained: “[Pogba has] just started his recovery, working with the medical staff and we’ll get him back as soon and as safely as we can. Of course, [Pogba] has been very important for us and we’re not going to take any risks.”
As a result, Pogba will miss the FA Cup fifth-round clash against West Ham United today, Tuesday, 9 February, as well as upcoming EPL matches against West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle.
